Promontory: Fall 2012 Market Update

Promontory had a strong sales year in 2012. Members enjoyed the amenities of the new clubhouse, The Shed, which features a Bowling alley, Game Arcade, Arts & Craft studio, Movie theatre and stunning panoramic views. Since July 4th, 15 homes have closed, another 8 are under contract and another 18 homesites are closed or pending (36 YTD). We are starting to see prices trend upward with Promontory lots pricing up 40% over last year at this time, and price per square foot of homes up 24% over the same time last year. Promontory is the market leader in Park City due to its world class amenities and club lifestyle.

The highlights of this summer at Promontory included:

  • The sale of luxury estate Villa del Alce – This stunning property, with its spectacular architecture, finishes and furnishings sold for over $6 million. This sale represents the highest non-ski-in-ski-out home sale since 2006.
  • The sale of all of the existing Trapper´s Cabins – The year began with 9 remaining units, and the last Trapper´s Cabin was put under contract in September.
  • 13 new construction homes being built right now.
