Construction activity remains high throughout Park City and its surrounding areas in a variety of different ways. As demand for new construction at higher price points increases, our market continues to see new developments, remodels, and even teardowns in desirable parts of town. Most of the new construction is taking place at Canyons Village, Empire Pass in Deer Valley, and out by the Jordanelle Reservoir. Driving through these areas, you’ll see building ranging from Hotels, Condos, and Townhomes to Single Family Homes. Neighborhoods like Promontory, The Colony at White Pine Canyon, Tuhaye, and Victory Ranch are seeing the highest value in building of Single Family Homes. The new Mayflower Resort off Highway 40 across from the Jordanelle Marina, will bring even stronger ski access to the Jordanelle area and the backside of Deer Valley Resort®.
Keep in mind that there is starting to be scarcity in vacant land. Old Town is almost built out and King’s Crown, offering condos, homes, and townhomes, will be the last ski-in/ski-out development at Park City Mountain Base Area. The parking lots at Park City Mountain will be developed over the next decade adding more skier parking, retail, condominiums and a four-star hotel to the base of the resort.
We’ll also see more development at the intersection of Highway 40 and Interstate 80 in Silver Creek Village. This is a great corridor to access many different mountain activities with quick access to Park City, Salt Lake, or Heber Valley. Townhomes and Single Family Homes will be offered in a reachable price point surrounded by parks, schools, and small businesses. Likely to be another auxiliary hub and extension of Park City.
