Multi-level Garage to Replace Cabriolet Lot
TCFC, the master developer of Canyons Village, has recently unveiled plans for a new multi-level garage that will offer over 1,800 covered parking stalls. The garage will be situated next to the existing cabriolet in the Lower Village area, at the southeast corner of the Lower Village Road and Frostwood Drive/Canyons Resort Drive intersection. This convenient location off S.R. 224 is supposed to replace multiple surface lots throughout the village area and reduce traffic congestion. The garage is designed to offer convenient access with multiple entrances and a four-lane drop-off area, ensuring a smooth morning arrival experience. On the ground level, there will be a pedestrian plaza that not only serves as a gathering space but also provides easy access to various transit options. Adding to its modern aesthetics, the garage will feature glass escalators and a charming natural pine exterior, blending functionality with an appealing visual appeal.
Once the plans are approved by Summit County, the project will be completed in three phases:
1. Garage Construction
2. Improvement of the connectivity between parking garage and an upgraded transit center with gathering spaces, restrooms, and landscaping.
3. Expansion of public gathering spaces and commercial opportunities.
Construction is expected to begin in 2024, with completion in time for the 2025/2026 ski season. Read more about the project HERE.
