Promontory is one of Park City’s premier mountain and golf communities, renowned for its luxurious Promontory Homes. Promontory Club offers a variety of different options for homeowners from two-bedroom townhomes to golf villas and large custom homes. The Double Deer Cottages are townhomes offering two bedrooms on an average of 1,880 sf of living space. The Trapper, Dye Course, Golf Club, and Nicklaus Cabins offer smaller home options (starting at 2,100 square feet). Large custom homes with living spaces up to 12,000 square feet are also available for sale. Pinnacle is an exclusive gated community within Promontory and offers 64 private lots with its own clubhouse.Â
Only a few areas allow for nightly rentals through the Promontory management program.

Promontory offers three types of memberships: social, golf (full), and equestrian. Owners are not required to purchase a membership, but many choose to purchase a social membership to access Promontory’s exceptional amenities. Golf memberships are currently sold out with a long waitlist. Golf memberships can only be obtained if included with the sale of a property or through the purchase of a developer-owned product.
As of 2024, Promontory Club has around 1,000 members, with approximately 75% holding full memberships. The cost of a golf membership is $250,000, while social memberships are priced at $100,000, and equestrian memberships at $35,000. It’s important to note that ownership costs, club dues, and HOA fees are subject to change, and many developments adjust these fees annually.
Promontory is located 8 miles from Park City; 25 miles from the private airport in Heber City and 39 miles from Salt Lake International Airport.
Promontory is zoned for the South Summit School District in Kamas. Alternatives are charter schools like Weilenmann School of Discovery (Pre-k to 8th) and the Silver Summit Academy (K-12) as well as private schools in Salt Lake City.
