Mayflower Resort is a new ski resort coming to Utah. In fact, it will be the first new ski resort in North America since 1981.
One of the first hotel-style buildings will be a Military Conference Hotel. Extell has donated approximately 5 acres to MIDA at the base of the new resort. The hotel will consist of 388 rooms (100 of which will be reserved for the Military at preferred pricing based on rank), 55 private for sale residences and 75,000 square feet of conference and commercial space. The structure will be eight levels above grade and four levels below grade for a total of 12 floors.
The new Resort will also feature several other luxury hotels (Rumors say Four Seasons or W brand), condominium projects and commercial space. Lots and homes are part of the master-plan as well.
With an long term lease agreement signed with Deer Valley Resort that allows Deer Valley continued use of leased ski terrain owned by Extell, Extell has secured its right to a direct lift connection from the base of the Mayflower ski beach to the top of Deer Valley’s Sultan chairlift.
As of September 2020, the location for the new Conference Hotel foundation has been cleared and primary infrastructure has started on the roads, water, sewer, and storm drains. In addition to that, underpasses have been put in to connect the east side of Mayflower with the Resort, allowing for easy access from developments such as Skyridge, Mayflower Lakeside and others.
Ski lifts serving the Mayflower Village are scheduled to open the winter of 2023 and the projected opening of the Conference Hotel is in 2024.
