Luxury Brand Hyatt Hotels & Condominiums took over the management of the Escala Lodge in November 2010 and announced big changes right away. The ski-in, ski-out condominium hotel is located adjacent to the Sunrise Chairlift at the Canyons Resort here in Park City. The Canyons is owned by Talisker and is the third largest ski resort in North America.
The lodge-style hotel includes three buildings with native mountain stonework and timber frame structure. The Hyatt Escala Lodge offers 85 spacious condominiums which can be divided into 178 residential style hotel suites. The 1 to 4 bedroom units range from 680 to 2,810 square feet. All guestrooms feature 9 foot ceilings, fully equipped gourmet kitchens with stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer, custom stone fireplaces, jetted tubs, European frame-less showers, extensive mill-work and hand carved maple flooring.
At Hyatt’s Escala Lodge guests can also enjoy a fitness center, steam room, heated swimming pools, over-sized spa tubs and complimentary ski valet.

Real estate at the Canyons Resort is becoming more attractive after Waldorf, Talisker and Hyatt have moved in the resort area.
Buyers of Hyatt condominiums will be able to place their units in a hotel rental program. Owners placing their units in the rental program will be able to participate in the Hyatt Vacation Club meaning they can exchange their time among 15 Hyatt Vacation and Residence Clubs or within Interval International, a third party exchange company with more than 2,200 resorts worldwide.
Hyatt also currently offers two 30-year ski pass valued $60,000 to every buyer of an Escala Lodge condominium. A number of units are also available at pre-construction prices of up to a 30% savings.
The Hyatt Escala Lodge is a good investment. Talisker is bringing major changes to the area. They are updating and expanding the ski resort, putting in an 18-hole golf course, and Hyatt along with Waldorf Astoria are bringing high-end luxury lodging names to the Canyons Resort.
